day 4: favorite part → bastogne
I love the whole series, but my top 2 favorite parts are ‘Bastogne’ and ‘The Breaking Point’. I decided to choose Bastogne for this day, although I adore TBP.
Bastogne gives me lots of feels: it’s beautiful but at the same time really upsetting episode. We get to see John Julian’s dead and how it affects Babe Heffron, we get to know Easy Company’s brave medic Eugene Roe and see things from his point of view. I absolutely adore Doc Roe and he is one of the reasons why Bastogne is my favorite part. We also meet Renee LeMaire, the nurse who’s touch calms people. She’s lovely addition to the part. And Doc Roe’s and Heffron’s “Babe”-moment finishes the episode and it’s a great ending.
But that’s enough blahblahblah, I’m sure I made my point clear - I love Bastogne and can watch it over and over again.
